Meatloaf, Tomato Souce - Master Cookbook Recipe # 65
This meatloaf is incredibly moist and flavorful, thanks to the addition of tomato sauce and dry stuffing mix. The stuffing mix acts as a perfect binder, soaking up all the delicious juices and seasonings for a hearty, savory finish.

Ingredients
- 2 lbs. ground beef
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 1/2 bell pepper, diced
- 8 oz. can tomato sauce
- 2 raw eggs
- 6 oz. box dry stuffing mix (Chicken or Traditional flavor)
- 1/4 cup McCormick brown gravy mix
- 5 shakes Worcestershire sauce
- Ketchup (for topping)
Instructions
- Mix: In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, diced onion, diced bell pepper, tomato sauce, eggs, dry stuffing mix, brown gravy mix, and Worcestershire sauce. Use your hands to mix everything thoroughly until well incorporated.
- Shape: Spray a 3-quart oblong or rectangular baking dish with cooking spray. Transfer the meat mixture to the dish and shape it into a loaf.
- Initial Bake: Bake in a preheated 375°F oven for 60 minutes.
- Drain: Carefully remove the meatloaf from the oven and drain off any excess grease from the baking dish.
- Glaze: Spread a layer of ketchup evenly over the top of the meatloaf.

Tip: If you prefer a bit of a crust on the sides, you can free-form the loaf on a rimmed baking sheet rather than using a deep dish, which allows more surface area to brown!
