Ingredients
- 1/2 lb ground beef (rolled into small balls)
- Steak seasoning (like Weber Steak and Chop)
- 1/8 cup gravy mix
- 1 cup milk
- A dash of Worcestershire sauce
Instructions
- Brown the Meat: Place the rolled meatballs in a skillet over medium heat. Be careful when first turning them so they don't break apart.
- Season: Generously sprinkle the meatballs with your favorite steak seasoning as they cook.
- Cook Thoroughly: Brown the meatballs for about 15 minutes until they are cooked through and have a nice sear.
- Drain Excess Fat: Use a paper towel or tongs to remove excess grease, but leave the brown drippings at the bottom for flavor.
- Make the Gravy: Whisk together the milk and gravy mix, then pour over the meatballs. Add a dash of Worcestershire sauce.
- Thicken: Simmer until the gravy thickens. Serve hot over creamed potatoes.
Notes
When searing beef in a hot cast-iron skillet, it sticks. Use a stainless steel spatula to flip, sliding it under the meatballs and scraping along the pan's bottom. This releases the beef effectively.
