Ingredients

  • 7 oz. marshmallow cream
  • 12 oz. sour cream
  • 14 oz. can sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 lemons (you'll use both the zest and the juice)
  • 1/3 cup lemon juice (from the fresh lemons)

Instructions

  1. Zest & Juice: Zest your lemons before cutting and juicing them. Set aside a small pinch of the zest to use as a garnish later.
  2. Mix: In a medium mixing bowl, combine the marshmallow cream, sour cream, sweetened condensed milk, and the 1/3 cup of fresh lemon juice.
  3. Blend: Using a hand mixer, blend the ingredients on medium speed until the mixture is completely smooth and creamy.
  4. Fold: Gently fold in the majority of the lemon zest.
  5. Chill: Transfer the dip to an airtight container and refrigerate overnight. This step is crucial as it allows the flavors to meld and the dip to thicken to the perfect consistency.
  6. Serve: Give it a quick stir, sprinkle the reserved lemon zest on top for a beautiful presentation, and serve cold.

Notes

  • Why Overnight?: While you can eat it sooner, letting it sit overnight transforms the flavor. The lemon juice reacts with the dairy and marshmallow to create a much deeper, more complex taste.
  • The Best Dippers: This dip pairs perfectly with fresh strawberries, pineapple chunks, apple slices, grapes, or even graham crackers and vanilla wafers.
  • Fresh is Best: Always use fresh lemon juice rather than bottled; the natural acidity and oils from the zest are what make this dip truly stand out.
