Ingredients
- 1 cup old-fashioned oats
- 2/3 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar
- 1/2 cup finely chopped pecans
- 4 Tbsp salted butter (sliced thin)
- 3/4 tsp ground cinnamon
Instructions
- Cut in the Butter: In a medium mixing bowl, combine the light brown sugar, all-purpose flour, and the thinly sliced butter.
- Blend: Using a blending fork (or pastry cutter), work the butter into the flour and sugar until the mixture is well-blended and crumbly.
- Add Texture: Add the oats, ground cinnamon, and chopped pecans. Mix well until all the dry ingredients are evenly coated and the mixture forms nice "crumbles."
- Bake: Sprinkle generously over your favorite unbaked dessert and bake according to that recipe's instructions until the topping is golden brown and fragrant.
