Cinnamon Toast - Master Cookbook Recipe # 11
This isn't just ordinary toast,it's a warm, sugary treat with a perfectly crisp crust. By using the air fryer, the cinnamon and sugar caramelize into the butter, creating a sweet crunch that is far superior to a standard toaster.

Ingredients
- 2 slices thick-sliced sandwich bread
- 2 Tbsp salted butter, room temperature
- 1 Tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
Instructions
- Butter: Spread the room-temperature butter evenly over one side of each bread slice. Be sure to coat all the way to the edges!
- Season: Mix the cinnamon and sugar together, then sprinkle the mixture generously over the buttered side of the bread.
- Air Fry: Place the slices in the air fryer basket. Set the temperature to 380°F.
- Cook: Bake for 6 to 7 minutes.
- Tip: Check periodically toward the end of the cooking time to ensure the sugar is caramelizing without burning.
- Serve: Let it sit for one minute so the sugar crust can "set," then serve warm.
Notes
- The Perfect Crust: For the best results, cover the entire surface with butter and then scrape off just the excess. This ensures even browning and allows the cinnamon sugar to create a solid, crisp "shell."
- Ratio Mastery: It may take a few tries to find your ideal ratio of butter to cinnamon sugar, but once you find it, it's the ultimate breakfast comfort food.
- Meal Idea: Serve this cinnamon toast alongside some fluffy scrambled eggs for a delicious, classic Southern meal.
