Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Shortening
  • 3 Tbsp Salted butter
  • 1/2 cup Confectioner’s sugar
  • 7 oz. Marshmallow fluff
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp Salt

Instructions

  1. Mix: Combine all ingredients in a medium mixing bowl.
  2. Cream: Beat until the filling is completely creamy and smooth.
  3. Assemble: Carefully pipe the filling onto the flat side of one cooled cake and top with another. If spreading by hand, do so very gently to avoid breaking the delicate cakes.
  4. Note: This recipe makes enough for one dozen pies; feel free to double it if you like extra-thick filling!

Notes

Tammy’s Tips:

For the prettiest results, use a piping bag to add the fluff so you don't tear the delicate cakes while spreading. If you want a more indulgent treat, feel free to double the recipe for a triple-stuffed Whoopie Pie!
