Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups Freshly cooked whipped pumpkin (or canned pumpkin)
- 1/4 cup Salted butter
- 3/4 cup Evaporated milk
- 4 large Eggs, beaten
- 1/2 cup Brown sugar, packed
- 1/4 cup Granulated sugar
- 1 tsp Ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp Baking spice (like Penzey’s) OR 1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
- 1/4 tsp Salt
- 1 Uncooked pie shell
Instructions
- Mix the Filling: In a large bowl, combine the pumpkin, salted butter, evaporated milk, beaten eggs, brown sugar, granulated sugar, cinnamon, baking spice, and salt.
- Blend Well: Whisk or stir the mixture until all ingredients are fully incorporated and the batter is smooth.
- Prepare to Bake: Pour the pumpkin mixture into your uncooked pie shell.
- Bake: Place in a preheated oven at 350°F. Bake for approximately 45 minutes, or until the filling is set.
- Serve: Once cooled, serve each slice with a generous topping of whipped cream or Cool Whip.
