Ingredients

  • 1 cup Homemade Biscuit Mix (Master Cookbook Recipe # 112)
  • 5 Tbsp Whole milk

Instructions

  1. Combine: Place your biscuit mix in a small bowl.
  2. Add Milk: Gradually pour in the whole milk, stirring as you go. Stop adding milk once all the flour is incorporated and you have a thick, workable dough.
  3. Knead: Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface. Knead it gently until the dough is smooth enough that you can lift the entire sheet without it cracking.
  4. Cut: Roll the dough out thin (to your preference) and cut into dumplings using a fork or a non-scratch pizza cutter.
  5. Simmer: Carefully drop the dumplings into a pot of boiling broth.
  6. Finish: Cover the pot with a lid and simmer for 10 minutes until the dumplings are tender and have thickened the broth.

Notes

Pro Tip: Make sure your broth is at a rolling boil before you start dropping those dumplings in,this helps them set quickly so they don't stick together!
