Ingredients
- 1 cup Uncooked basmati rice
- 1 1/2 cups Water
Instructions
- Boil: Combine the uncooked basmati rice and water in a medium saucepan. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat.
- Simmer: As soon as the water reaches a boil, reduce the heat to low.
- Cover: Place a tight-fitting lid on the saucepan and let the rice simmer for 15 to 20 minutes.
- Finish: Once the water is fully absorbed and the rice is tender, remove from the heat. Let it sit covered for a few minutes before fluffing with a fork.

Letting the rice rest for about 5 minutes after you turn off the heat allows the moisture to redistribute, ensuring every grain is perfectly tender.
