It's has been a Great Two Weeks
We have been so busy the first two weeks of April! We bought a new boat that we have always wanted and had to sell our old boat! So, we spent a lot of time on the road. We still had time to try a couple of new recipes and do a review of new BBQ product.
We reviewed the Vadiv Wireless Smart BBQ Thermometer as we made a Rump Roast on the smoker. The Rump Roast is one of my favorite cuts of beef! We like to cook ours medium and this was the first time that we tried cooking one on a smoker. We also tried a new charcoal that was made from maple instead of hickory! We really liked the new flavor! The Thermometer worked as advertised. You upload an app to your smartphone and it lets you know what temperature your meat is at all times and it has an alarm that lets you know when it is ready! It also has a large selection of pre-set temps for whatever kind of meat you are cooking
Here is a link for that thermometer review video: http://https://youtu.be/Zlo5abETZrU
Also, we uploaded some videos to CVC using our Cosori Airfyer. I made two items using a silicone mold that I picked up at Michael’s. I made my Favorite Pound Cake from my CVC Cookbook Volume 1 and Cornbread and Milk for one! The pound cake was delicious and the Airfryer cooked it quickly. This was the first time I had attempted to use the Cosori Airfryer for cake and I will be doing it again for sure! https://youtu.be/H6YtvelljoQ.
I also made Cinnamon Toast https://youtu.be/H6YtvelljoQ which I have done before and I love the convenience and easy clean up when I make it in the Airfryer!
Because of the success with the pound cake I got the idea to make Cornbread for one in the Airfyer https://youtu.be/VZ1vPN3fMs8 and it was a hit as well. I have been trying to do more live videos for Facebook because my friends on Facebook really like to see me cook live. I really strive to make it seem like you are right in the kitchen with me so you can learn to Cook Like Mama Did! Even if you already
Oh and by the way, I am learning how to add content to the web page and should be posting blogs more regular now that I know how! Thanks so much for tuning in and for reading the latest news from Collard Valley Cooks.
